Art Gallery of NSW, May 2006

Langen Suka Sydney Gamelan Association put on two evening performances at the Art Gallery of NSW, on Wednesday 3rd and 10th May, 2006, in conjunction with the gallery's exhibition Symbols & Ceremonies: Indonesian Textile Traditions.

The performance included a mixture of styles ranging from the bold and exuberant to refined and delicately textured pieces, featuring the softer instruments of the ensemble weaving complex patterns around a main melody.
